What is Hunyuan 3D?
Hunyuan 3D is a family of 3D generation models from Tencent's Hunyuan team. It turns a single image — or, in recent versions, a text prompt — into a textured 3D mesh. Kairo3D runs version 3.1 Pro, the higher-quality tier of the current version, through fal.ai for both image-to-3D and text-to-3D.
Who made it, and when
Tencent published Hunyuan3D 2.0 and 2.1 with open weights on GitHub in 2025. Version 3.0 launched globally on 26 November 2025, and 3.1 followed in early 2026. Tencent offers the 3.x models through its own studio and cloud API, and through partners such as fal.ai.
What it's good at
Detailed characters, creatures, busts and props, where fine surface detail and texture matter. Because it accepts text as well as images, it's handy when you don't have a reference photo: describe the object and get a first 3D draft to refine.
Limits to know
It's one of the slower engines here, typically about 2 minutes per model. Hidden sides are inferred from a single view, so check the back of the result. And read the licence: Tencent's terms include territory restrictions and other conditions, so review them before you use results commercially.

The finished model opens in the 3D viewer. Rotate it, check the texture and the back side, and run it again or try another engine if needed.
Download GLB, STL or OBJ
Save the textured GLB, or convert it to STL, OBJ or PLY in your browser. Every model stays in My creations until you delete it.
