Terms of Service
The terms for using Kairo3D: accounts, credits and payments, acceptable use, who owns the 3D models you generate, engine licences and the limits of AI output.
Last updated: 2026-10-12
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kairo3D at kairo3d.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, and our Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back. Both form part of these Terms.
2. What Kairo3D does
Kairo3D lets you create 3D models from images and text prompts in your browser. We don't make the AI models ourselves. Each generation is run by a third-party model that you choose, accessed through fal.ai:
- TRELLIS and TRELLIS 2 by Microsoft
- Tripo H3.1 by Tripo AI
- Hunyuan 3D by Tencent
- Rodin by Hyper3D (Deemos)
- Pixal3D by TencentARC
The engines on offer, their features and their credit costs can change over time. Results are delivered as GLB files, which you can download or convert in your browser to other formats such as STL, OBJ or PLY.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, or under the age of digital consent where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
- Give accurate information, keep your password safe and don't share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Don't create extra accounts to collect free credits.
- If you think someone else is using your account, tell us straight away at support@kairo3d.com.
4. Credits and payments
- Generations use credits. The number of credits a generation costs depends on the engine and the mode (image or text), and it is shown before you start the generation.
- Failed generations are refunded automatically. Credits are taken when a generation starts. If the generation fails or the engine returns no model, the credits go back to your balance automatically.
- Getting credits. You can get credits from free credits to start (when we offer them), from a subscription plan, or from a one-time credit pack. Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
- Expiry. Some credits, such as credits that come with a subscription or a promotion, can expire. If credits have an expiry date, we show it when you get them or in your account.
- No cash value. Credits can only be used on Kairo3D. They have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for money, except as described in our Refund Policy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep your plan and its credits until the end of the period you have paid for. Plans paid with Alipay or WeChat Pay are paid once for one period and don't renew automatically.
- Payment processors. Payments are handled by Stripe, Creem, Alipay or WeChat Pay, depending on what is offered at checkout, and their terms also apply. Any taxes are shown at checkout.
- Changes. We may change prices and the credit cost of engines. A new credit cost applies to generations started after the change. A new subscription price applies from your next renewal after we have told you about it, and you can cancel before then.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Kairo3D to upload, create or share:
- anything illegal, or anything that promotes or helps with illegal activity;
- images, characters, artwork, logos, brands or designs you don't have the rights to use, unless you have permission or the law allows your use;
- models of weapons, weapon parts or accessories (for example firearm frames, receivers or suppressors), or of any other item whose making, owning or sale is prohibited by law where you are or where it would be made;
- any sexual content involving minors, or intimate images of real people shared without their consent;
- content that impersonates a real person or organisation, or that depicts a real person in a false, defamatory or harmful way;
- content that harasses, threatens or promotes hatred or violence against people;
- malware, spam or anything designed to harm the Service or other people.
You also may not:
- try to get around credit charges, rate limits or security measures, or access accounts or data that aren't yours;
- overload, scrape, reverse engineer or disrupt the Service, or use automated means to access it in ways we haven't allowed;
- resell or share access to the Service or the engines without our written permission;
- break the usage policies of fal.ai or of the engine providers.
We may refuse a generation, remove content, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where the law requires it, we will report illegal content to the authorities.
6. Your content and who owns it
- Your inputs. You keep all the rights you have in the images and prompts you upload. You confirm that you have the rights needed to use them. You give us a limited permission to store and process them, and to send them to fal.ai and the engine you choose, only so we can run your generations, store the results and operate the Service.
- Your outputs. We don't claim ownership of the 3D models you generate. As far as we are concerned, they are yours to use, subject to the licence and terms of the engine that made them:
- TRELLIS and TRELLIS 2 (Microsoft) and Pixal3D (TencentARC) are open-source models released under the MIT licence.
- Outputs from Tripo H3.1 (Tripo AI), Rodin (Hyper3D) and Hunyuan 3D (Tencent) are subject to those providers' terms. Tencent's terms may include territory restrictions.
- Check before commercial use. Read the licence of the engine you used before using a model commercially. In some countries AI-generated output may not be protected by copyright, and similar outputs may be produced for other people. You are responsible for making sure your use of an output doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
- Our service. The Kairo3D website, its design, code and name belong to us. The engines belong to their makers. These Terms don't give you any rights in them beyond using the Service.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
7. Limits of AI-generated models
3D models are generated automatically by AI and can be wrong. In particular:
- A model may not match your image or prompt, and may contain artefacts, holes, missing or hidden parts, or incorrect textures.
- Models are not guaranteed to be watertight, manifold or printable. Check and repair them, for example in your slicer or a mesh tool, before 3D printing.
- Models are not CAD-grade and are not dimensionally accurate. Don't rely on them for engineering, medical, safety-critical or load-bearing uses without checking them independently.
- STL files contain geometry only, so colours and textures are lost when you convert to STL.
You use generated models at your own risk.
8. Availability
- The Service relies on third parties, including fal.ai, the engine providers, Cloudflare and payment processors. Their outages or changes can affect the Service.
- We don't guarantee that the Service will be available without interruption, that a generation will finish within a particular time, or that any particular engine will stay available.
- We may add, change or remove engines and features. If we remove an engine, the models you already made with it stay in your account.
- Please keep your own copies of files that are important to you.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or any generated model;
- our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
11. Your responsibility
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you uploaded or generated, or because you broke these Terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs this causes us, to the extent the law allows.
12. Suspension and closing your account
- You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, email support@kairo3d.com.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or other people. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to download your models first.
- When an account is closed, unused credits are lost, except as described in our Refund Policy or where the law requires otherwise.
- If we decide to shut down the Service, we will give reasonable notice where we can so that you can download your models.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service or the law changes. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will also tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [to be confirmed], and disputes will be handled by the courts of [to be confirmed]. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of the country where you live. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out.
